Air Pollution & Carbon Reduction Technology

The founder of LongServing Technology, Dr. Ko-Cheng Fang, has deeply researched various latest technologies, and invented a novel carbon reduction method which subverts people’s thinking. The carbon and PM 2.5 particles in the air can be reduced and carcinogenic heavy metals can be converted into agricultural production through his advanced chemistry comprehensive technology to change the exhaust-gas discharge path of coal-fired or oil-fired plants. This completely change the carbon emission amount in the air, which not only greatly reduces the expenditure of enterprises to buy carbon credits, but also achieves the purpose of caring for the sustainable development of the earth.

The Era Of Global Carbon Reduction Is Coming !

The European Green Deal proposed by the European Commission was officially published on December 11, 2019, revealing carbon neutrality in 2050 and carbon reduction by 50% to 55% in 2030[1]. The world has officially entered the era of energy conservation and carbon reduction. Individuals and countries are talking about carbon neutrality, carbon reduction, green energy and other issues.

The suddenly increasing CO2 and other greenhouse gases in the atmosphere has accumulated heat from the sun for a long time, making the atmosphere like putting on an isothermal bag, raising the average temperature of the earth, causing the collapse of polar glaciers, rising sea levels, and triggering various extreme weather events.  "Climate change" caused by personal factors is affecting our daily life and survival ecology and also makes the world gradually pay attention to the management and reduction of greenhouse gases and carbon dioxide [2].

Therefore, in order to set an upper limit on the total amount of carbon emissions, government departments in various countries will allocate carbon emission quotas to different enterprises according to different industries. If the emission exceeds the quota, they need to purchase carbon credits in the carbon trading market.

A "carbon credit" is simply “the right to emit carbon", which is usually measured in one metric ton of carbon emissions. According to the different ways in which carbon credits are generated, carbon credits are divided into the following two types: one is generated through mandatory carbon market and trade from a government regulator; the other is generated in the voluntary carbon market, which is often used by companies as a means of carbon exchange. [3].

Southeast Asian countries have already begun to establish carbon trading systems and levy carbon taxes (or carbon tariffs). For example, Singapore is the first region in Asia to implement a levy carbon tax. From 2019, a carbon tax of $5 SGD per ton will be levied on large enterprises with more than 25000 tons of emissions. Last year, a transnational carbon trading platform “Climate Impact X” (CIX) was established. The tax rate will gradually increase from $5 SGD per metric ton of emissions to $25 SGD in 2024, to $45 SGD in 2026, and the carbon tax will reach $50 SGD to $80 SGD per metric ton of emissions in 2030[4].

No matter how large the carbon market is, carbon dioxide will not disappear by transferring carbon credits for countless times. The real carbon reduction needs to return to the real technical level and reduce carbon dioxide substantially.
